Columbia Titanium Omni-Heat Gloves

You might have noticed yesterday was bloody freezing. It prompted me to ride to work looking like the Michelin man, doubling up on tights and with 4 tops on! It was also the prefect opportunity to try out my Columbia Titanium Omni-Heat gloves. I think they are a pre-production line but hopefully they will be available soon. Despite my Garmin recording a temperature of -2 when I set off my hands were toasty for the whole ride! I don’t think the gloves made any windproof claims but they definitely did the job! They are not designed specifically as bike gloves but they are thin enough and flexible enough to make using the controls easy and have a nice big non-slip pad on the palm for a secure grip. Now I just need to get some for my feet because they were like blocks of ice. I just about had to melt them out of my shoes!

For more information on the ‘Omni-Heat Technology’ go to: http://www.columbia.com/Omni-Heat/Science_Omni-Heat,default,pg.html. Alternatively, if you don’t really care about Omni-Heat it’s worth checking out the link anyway, just for the ‘talented’ girl in the bikini!
