Some how, although I’m not sure how, I managed to ride for the full 24 hours and bag myself the 3rd place on the podium. It is now less than 22 hours since I finished and I am feeling absolutely awful! My knees feel like someone has taken a shotgun to them and every inch of my upper body is in agony! Bizarrely enough, my quads and calves are mostly pain free at the moment!
I will put a full race report up at some point this week but I just wanted to get this down now before I recover! I will NEVER do a solo 24 again! Never, never, NEVER! It just is not worth it!
